MEDICAL OUTREACH AT EYENKORIN MARKET
With the main aim of addressing reproductive health challenges among young girls and women, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI), in partnership with Women Friendly Initiative (WFI) and funded by IPAS, organized a free medical outreach on 26 November 2018 at Eyenkorin Market Square. A team of health professionals provided residents from Eyenkorin, Ogele, Balla, and surrounding communities with comprehensive health services, including HIV Testing Services (HTS), malaria screening, blood pressure (BP) checks, random blood sugar (RBS) tests, body temperature monitoring, and counseling. The initiative specifically targeted women and girls with limited access to information on safe abortion and contraceptive care. The outreach reached over 70 clients, who received counseling, testing, and follow-up advice. Individuals with more serious health conditions were referred to registered medical facilities for further care, ensuring continuity and quality of healthcare support.
