Through the NAHI Grant, OCDI is expanding community-based HIV testing and strengthening linkage to care for key populations in Kwara State.

GLOBAL FUND NATIONAL ALIGNMENT FOR HIV IMPACT (NAHI) PROJECT
The Global Fund–supported and FHI 360–implemented National Aligned HIV & AIDS Initiative (NAHI) Grant is advancing HIV prevention, treatment, and care programs for general and key populations across 17 states in Nigeria, including Kwara State, through the Society for Family Health (SFH). A key strategy of this intervention is the One Stop Shop (OSS) model, which delivers priority, integrated HIV services to key populations. The overall goal of the project is to reduce the incidence of new HIV infections, as well as HIV-related morbidity and mortality in Kwara State, by intensifying targeted interventions for key and vulnerable populations. As part of this effort, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) implements HIV Testing Services for Female Sex Workers using a peer-to-peer testing approach across multiple Local Government Areas in the state. This approach enhances trust, accessibility, and uptake of testing services within the community. Individuals who test positive, as well as those in need of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) or treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are promptly linked to appropriate services at the One Stop Shop (OSS) facility operated by SFH. Field testing activities officially commenced on 22nd September 2022, following the successful training of engaged ad-hoc staff (Female Sex Workers) by SFH and the provision of necessary commodities—marking a significant step toward improving community-level HIV response and service delivery in Kwara State.
