OCDI joined Kwara State PHCDA and Novel Association for Youth Advocacy to mark International Adolescent Health Week, sensitizing students on mental health, GBV, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and COVID-19.

In commemoration of International Adolescent Health Week, the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (PHCDA) partnered with Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) and other members of the Novel Association for Youth Advocacy to conduct a health sensitization program at Ilorin Grammar School on 22nd March 2022.
The program focused on key adolescent health issues, including mental health, experiences of gender-based violence (GBV), menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and COVID-19 awareness.
Through interactive sessions, students were empowered with knowledge and practical guidance on how to care for their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Initiatives like this highlight the importance of early intervention, education, and creating safe spaces for adolescents to discuss health and social challenges affecting their growth and development.
