On 14th May, 2026, Olive Community Development Initiative convened the inaugural meeting for the Kwara State Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project, bringing together key stakeholders from government and non-government sectors to strengthen collaboration on advancing women’s rights, empowerment, and inclusive community development in Kwara State.

On 14th May, 2026, Olive Community Development Initiative successfully convened the inaugural (inception) meeting for the Kwara State Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project. The meeting brought together key stakeholders from relevant ministries, state institutions, and non-state actors to strengthen collaboration and foster a shared commitment toward advancing women’s rights and community development in Kwara State.
The project, themed “Strengthening Women’s Voices, Leadership, Protection, and Sustainable Development Across Communities,” was introduced to stakeholders, providing a platform to present its objectives, implementation strategies, and expected outcomes. The engagement also served to deepen partnerships among actors who will play critical roles in promoting gender equality, women’s empowerment, protection, and inclusive community development.
The Kwara State Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership Project is being implemented with support from ActionAid Nigeria and Global Affairs Canada.
