OCDI hosted a WVL project evaluation and success story meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to reflect on impact and document stories of change across Kwara State.

The Women’s Voice & Leadership (WVL) Project evaluation and success story meeting, supported by ActionAid, was held at the OCDI Hall on Tuesday, 15th March 2023.
The meeting convened a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the Nigeria Police, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), the Ministry of Women Affairs, the Ministry of Youths, the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWED), school representatives (teachers and students), primary healthcare staff from Igele, the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), as well as survivors.
The primary objective of the meeting was to document stories of change and assess the impact of the WVL project on individuals and communities across Kwara State. It provided a safe and inclusive space for stakeholders to share experiences, highlight progress, and reflect on how the project has contributed to advancing gender equality, strengthening support systems, and empowering women and girls.
Through these shared stories, the meeting underscored the importance of collaboration, community engagement, and sustained investment in initiatives that amplify voices, protect rights, and drive meaningful social change.
