KWARA STATE ACTION PLAN DEVELOPMENT ON WOMEN, PEACE, AND SECURITY

As part of efforts to strengthen peacebuilding and conflict resolution in Kwara State, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) convened a two-day meeting at the Ministry of Women Affairs. The meeting brought together committee members and key stakeholders, who, with the support of an expert consultant, collaboratively developed the implementation framework for the Kwara State Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security. This framework provides a strategic roadmap to enhance women’s participation in peacebuilding, ensure gender-responsive conflict resolution, and create sustainable mechanisms for promoting security and social cohesion across the state. Through such engagements, OCDI continues to champion inclusive governance, empower women as agents of peace, and strengthen state-level policies for a safer and more equitable society.
