OLIVE SENSITIZATION ON RESILIENCE AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS
Building resilience is key to breaking cycles of poverty. On January 25th, OCDI engaged students in Kwara State through interactive sessions on resilience and sexual and reproductive health rights, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

SCIENCE FAIR COMPETITION
To spark curiosity and inspire innovation, VSO-ICS volunteers in partnership with Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) hosted a Science Fair Competition in Asa LGA, empowering junior secondary school students to showcase their creativity, critical thinking, and passion for science.

2018 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD
On 11 October 2018, Olive Community Development Initiative joined the global celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child at Apata Ajele Community Secondary School, Ilorin, to kick off a year-long campaign empowering girls with skills for employability and leadership.

OLIVE GIRL CHILD SUMMIT AUGUST 2018
Olive Community Development Initiative is proud to announce its first Girl Child Summit, designed to empower young girls with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive. From August 6th–8th, 2018, girls will engage in mentorship, life skills training, and advocacy sessions to unlock their full potential.

NATIONAL GRADUATE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Quality science education is a foundation for innovation and national development—yet many schools still face a shortage of skilled teachers. The National Graduate Volunteer Programme is bridging this gap in Kwara State by equipping classrooms with passionate science graduates who are not only teaching, but inspiring the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers.

International Citizen Service (ICS): Empowering Youth for Global Impact
Launched in 2011 by the British Prime Minister and funded by DFID through VSO, the International Citizen Service (ICS) program provides young people with opportunities to contribute to global development. In Nigeria, VSO Nigeria partnered with Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) to implement the initiative across several LGAs in Kwara State.
